Operation Christmas Child — SRBC
It is not too early!!!
There are 4 ways for you to participate.
1. Pack your own box(es).
2. Purchase items during the year for church packing party. There is a place at church for storage.
3. Pack your own box(es) and purchase items for church packing party.
4. Make donation to church for needed items to be purchased. Mark envelope OCC
Boxes – 100 Cardboard boxes are at the church. Plastic boxes will be ordered if anyone would like them. The cost will be $1.50 for the plastic and must be prepaid.
**Something to think about – there are not as many boxes for boys (all ages) as there are for girls.
**As you are shopping remember that this is the only box this child will receive in their lifetime.
Monthly collection items
March – Hats, gloves, and scarves, and fashion accessories (sunglasses, jewelry, hair bands, etc)
April – Stuffed animals if you would like to make some, there is stuffing at the church that we will use until it is gone.
May – Personal care items: water bottle, reusable utensils (bowl, cup, fork and spoon), comb, brush, toothbrush (no holder), soap (leave in original package)
June – Quality toys: soccer ball with pump, jump rope, doll, cars, trucks, dinosaurs, etc.
July – Clothing: shirts, dresses, shorts, shoes, socks, undies
August – School supplies: notebook paper, index cards, pencils, pens, markers, erasers, etc.
September -Quality crafts
October – Games/activities: board games, puzzles, fishing kits, sewing kits, tools (hammer, screwdrivers, nails, screws)
