Proposed change to the church bylaws from the nominating committee. 

This will be voted on by our church members during our 

business meeting on Sunday, Sept. 8th 

Article VIII–Committees Section 2. Number of Members and Term currently reads: 

1. Each committee shall have at least (5) five members. No more than two (2) members of an immediate family (father, mother, brother, sister, son, daugh-ter, and spouse) shall serve on the same committee. All committee members shall be elected for a three(3) year term on a rotation basis except as otherwise stated herein. The size of each committee shall be determined by the needs of the church as advised by the Nominating Committee. Any representative of the pastoral staff and Deacon chair may serve as ex-officio members of all commit-tee. 2. Committee Vacancies – If someone fills a vacancy on a committee less that one (1) year, that person will be eligible to go back onto that committee for a full three (3) year term. Anyone filling a vacancy for more than one (1) year will not be eligible to serve until one (1) year has expired. 

…Proposed change: If someone fills a vacancy on a committee, that person will be eligible to go onto that committee for a full three (3) year term.
